Andy Pass Terms & Conditions.

1. You are required to be in possession of a current valid provisional/Full driving licence. It is your responsibility to inform your instructor of any official changes to that document or your health. Please make your instructor aware of any conditions or impairments you may have as this will allow the instructor to make allowances if necessary.

2. You will be required to pay in full for any lesson or test appointments that you cancel with less than 24 hours notice. This must be done by calling the instructor directly.

3. Any block lessons paid for are non-refundable. They must be taken within six months of your first lesson. All block lessons must be paid for in full at the time of booking.

4. Andy Pass does not issue appointment cards, it is the pupils responsibility to keep appointments in their own diary/phone calender. A text reminder will be sent approx 48 hours before any scheduled lesson by Andy Pass.

5. We reserve the right to refuse the use of the instructors or schools car for practical tests if the instructor feels that you have not reached a satisfactory standard.

6. An admin charge of £10 will be payable for any payment refunds if the pupil decides not to go ahead with any prepaid lessons.

7. Cash payments can be made to the instructor at the beginning of the lesson (cash machine visits will be at the beginning if required) and payment by bank transfer must be paid into Andy Pass account before the start of a lesson.

8. The minimum cost of the car for a practical test is 3 diary hours. This includes pick up from home, 1 hour lesson before the test, 15 minutes preparation time, time on test, debrief and the drive home. This does not include the D.V.S.A practical test fee.

9. It is not the responsibility of the school/instructor to remind or tell you when your theory/practical tests are, or to check that all your documents are in order for these tests.

10. You (not the examiner) are responsible for the instructors/schools vehicle while you are taking your practical driving test. In the unlikely event of a road traffic accident you would be liable for any insurance excess.

11. Credit will not be accepted under any circumstances.

12. There is a £20 charge for any returned unpaid cheques.

13. We reserve the right to change your instructor or car at any time.

14. Whilst every care is taken to ensure that pupils receive tuition at the scheduled time and in the car booked, all appointments are made on the understanding that the school accepts no responsibility for the postponement of lessons and practical tests due to mechanical breakdowns/instructor illness or any other reason. If the pupil cannot be accommodated in another car, a fresh appointment will be made as early as possible. Neither are we responsible for driving test appointments postponed by the D.V.S.A.

15. If you change your pick up or your drop off point without 72 hours notice it may not be possible to give you a full hour’s lesson (full hour will still be charged).

16. If you are late for a lesson, the lesson will still finish at the arranged time. Missed time cannot be reallocated, nor can the lesson price be reduced.

17. Children under the age of 15 are not allowed in the vehicle during lessons; it is at the discretion of the individual instructor to allow your friends or family in the back of the vehicle on a driving lesson.

18. You must ensure that you are not under the influence of alcohol or drugs while attending a lesson, “remember the night before”. Please check labelling on all prescription/non-prescription drugs with regards to driving.

19. Any items left in the car are not the responsibility of the school.

20. Complaints will only be considered if they are within fourteen days of the incident.

21. On very rare occasions there may be another Andy Pass instructor or D.V.S.A official observing your instructor during a lesson. This is done for quality and assessment purposes. Prior approval, by the pupil, will be sought by your instructor.

22. Lessons taken will be charged at the full hourly rate if a discounted amount of pre-paid lessons is to be refunded for any  exceptional circumstances at all.

23. As of July 2015 the paper counterpart is no longer valid. You will be asked to supply a code to your instructor via a DVSA website in order for the instructor to fully check your driving licence validity.
